Founder & Managing Consultant
Joseph Kim is the Principal of Selvara and an elite technology operator with 16 years of multi-disciplinary experience spanning quantitative finance, institutional asset management, and technical systems orchestration. An alumnus of UC Berkeley, the HKU Master of Finance (Quantitative Finance) program, and the HKUST MBA, he has spent his career scaling high-velocity data platforms, managing cross-functional engineering teams, and navigating strict regulatory environments.As a veteran startup operator, he successfully co-founded and directed the technical infrastructure for an international financial data platform—scaling the architecture to 120K active users and a peak transactional volume of $100M TVL—with backing from top-tier institutional accelerators and global technology funds including Tim Draper, Kyber Ventures, Big Brain Holdings, Berkeley SkyDeck, and Cyberport Hong Kong.
